The School of Foreign Languages (SFL) wasawarded master’s degrees of second-level disciplines in foreign linguistics and applied linguistics in 1996.
This Translation degree program from Southwest Jiaotong University began to recruit graduates in 2011, with a research direction— English translation, and recruits experts who are proficient in rail transit engineering English and have strong professional competence in the advantageous disciplines of the university, as well as experts from outside the university, together with our teachers in Translation, based on computer-aided translation tools (Trados language laboratory), and choose practical translation project management as the carrier, combining theory with practice, to cultivate compound talents who are proficient in translation, technology and management.
