About

Information technologies and their application in the energy sector are of significant global importance. Increasing energy efficiency, cost- and environmental effectiveness of energy conversion processes, and energy supply are significant and complex challenges in the field of energy. The Information Technology for Energy is offered by TU Berlin University.

Overview

Key facts

TU Berlin's Information Technology for Energy master’s program in Information Technology for Energy prepares students to find both theoretical and practical solutions: Students become experts in the development, implementation, and optimization of information technologies in electric energy power plants, particularly in the field of regenerative energy and fossil fuels. They also acquire a wide range of technical knowledge in the fields of information and energy technology, engineering, and business and economics.

Current scientific methods and developments and the economic, social, ecological, and industrial context of the fields of application play a central role in the study program.

The master’s program offers outstanding study conditions and facilities, including a “smart grid” testing site and a weather station for data preparation.

The Information Technology for Energy master’s program is held in two locations: the TU Berlin campus in EL Gouna, Egypt and TU Berlin’s main location in Berlin.
