Overview

The reform and opening-up in China had been witnessing the rejuvenation of Marxism studies. All kinds of Marxism institutes had been gradually restored with booming teaching and research activities. The cultivation of professional talents armed with Marxism theories were also flourishing.

Program highlights

The School of Law in Chinese and International Business Law at Xi'an Jiaotong University, in the recent five years, has secured 7 provincial-level awards in philosophy, humanities and social sciences. It hosts 25 research projects of both state and provincial levels, including those joint ones with overseas partners. Another 23 key research projects are also conducted. The school gets published in CSSCI journals 300 papers and 10 academic monographs.

Programme Structure

Development Features

The School of Marxism Studies attaches equal importance to teaching and research, and to discipline development and curriculum design as well. The development of the school presents the following five features:

To conduct research on Marxism fundamental theories on the basis of the history of Marxism and Marxism classics;

To work on the big leading-edge projects in Marxism in Chinese context and deepen the research on theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics;

To conduct research on social engineering in view of Marxism and strengthen the reform and opening-up of the research on leading-edge theories and practices;

To attach great importance to a close combination of discipline construction, and teaching and research; to magnify the support of discipline construction to curriculum design; to do the research in a more targeted approach and to upgrade the effectiveness of ideological and political education;

Applicants must nan-Chinese citizens with valid passports;

Applicants must in good health;

Applicants for Master's degree must have a Bachelor's degree and

under 35 years of age.

English-taught programs: transcript of IELTS 6.0 and atmte, TOEFL 80 and

above. Other proficiency certificate is also acceptable approved by XJTU.
