- Foreign citizens who do not hold Chinese passports must demonstrate to be good natured individuals who have the necessary degrees and language capabilities. In principle the Chinese Law applicant at Renmin University of China must not be more than 35 years old of age, and must hold a degree that is equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited Chinese university.

General requirements
- One application form for LL.M. Program at RUC with signature;
- One photocopy of passport with the valid dates more than 2 years;
- One photocopy of undergraduate diploma or one pre-graduation certificate issued by university. The Notarial translation in English should be attached to the diploma in other languages;
- One original academic transcript for highest degree. The Notarial translation should be attached to the transcript in other languages;
- Two recommendation letters in English or Chinese by professors or associated professors;
- Four physical copies of recent passport-sized photos;
- One page of Personal Statement indicating education and work experience, research interests, plans and personal development objectives after graduation, etc.
- One Physical Examination Report for Foreigners (download from ISO website).
- One Statement of Guarantee (download from ISO website).
