The Law programme from City, University of London has a practical, global focus which is designed to deepen your knowledge and advance your career.
You can pursue a general Master of Laws degree through our extensive range of modules, or you can pursue one of several specialisms such as Public International Law or International Commercial Law.
We also offer a course in government, diplomacy and politics.

Career
If you graduate from the LLM in, for example, Civil Litigation & Dispute Resolution, you will have strong prospects for a career in managing and conducting civil cases. This might be through litigation, arbitration, negotiation or mediation.

Programme Structure
Modules- To pursue the general Master of Laws (LLM) programme you can choose from more than 30 modules covering diverse subjects - everything from Human Rights and Energy Law to Mergers or Money Laundering. Or you can study one of 14 specialist LLM programmes, in which case you will need to study certain subject-specific modules.

Applicants should ideally have at least an upper second-class honours undergraduate degree in law (roughly equivalent to a B or B+) from a recognised international institution. Applicants with a good undergraduate degree in another subject will also be considered.
