Overview
Spatial analysis finds applications in many areas, such as health, the environment, urban planning, geology, archaeology and agronomy. This Geomatics programme from Lund University aims to provide knowledge in spatial analysis for environmental applications. It includes studies in geographical information systems (GIS), remote sensing and physical geography. Models and theories for understanding the Earth´s climate and ecosystems are integrated with knowledge for collecting environmental information using remote sensing, storing the information in databases and theories behind GIS.
