This Archaeology - Theory and Practice programme from Lund University is specifically designed to meet the demands within research, field archaeology and cultural heritage management. It combines high scientific and theoretical standards with intensive practical training.
You will be taught how to excavate and document the past, how to apply the latest digital technologies for documentation and visualisation, how to analyse artefacts and other archaeological materials, how to analyse buildings and landscapes, and how to communicate your findings and research results to a wider audience.
We offer Sweden’s only international MA programme in archaeology and ancient history, as well as a rich, multidisciplinary teaching and research environment.
After graduating from this programme, you will have the archaeological training, documented experience and the teamwork skills that you need to gain employment within the cultural heritage sector, as a museum curator or as a field archaeologist.
