Overview
Smart Energy Management at Keele University is an interdisciplinary course which incorporates database management, data analytics, system design and practical programming skills, together with deep insight into the energy business environment, including energy management strategies and energy demand forecasting. As such it prepares you for careers across the energy sector, as well as more broader computing or IT roles.
Career:
The challenges of an ageing PowerGrid, declining fossil fuels and increasing demand for cleaner, smarter energy require multi-talented professionals – trained in science, engineering, IT and management – who can develop new energy management technologies and infrastructure that can withstand cyber attacks and other disruptions.
Through our close collaboration with industrial partners, we continually seek to ensure the MSc in Smart Energy Management gives you cutting-edge technical skills and knowledge, as well as the broader sustainability and project management skills needed to succeed in careers where smart energy systems are developed or used.
