Overview

Electrical systems within the automotive industry are becoming more and more advanced. Now you can develop the knowledge you need to work as a highly qualified designer, test engineer or development engineer in the automotive industry. This specialised training offers a novel approach in relation to traditional programmes.

Electrical Vehicle Engineering at University West  is a full-time, one-year, on campus programme with in-person labs and company visits. The programme includes online components.

Career:

Your programme prepares you for the current and future needs of industry, where mechanical engineers with specialised automotive training are required. Companies are also looking for engineers with international interpersonal skills to improve effectiveness in global operations – an additional component of this programme. On graduation, you will be highly competitive for positions within the private sector or further advanced studies. This degree qualifies you to hold positions such as:

General requirements

You will be considered for admission to the Master in Electrical Vehicle Engineering if you fulfil the following entry requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering or equivalent. Additionally the Bachelor of Science degree must be comprised of a minimum of 5 HE credits in programming and 15 HE credits in mathematics.
