Overview
The course seeks to explore the inherent challenges in transforming health and social care policy and practice and is suitable for those individuals who hold strategic positions within organisations as well as individual health and social care professionals who wish to learn more about how to enhance care.
Specifically the Transforming Integrated Health and Social Care at University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) aims to: provide an opportunity for health and care professionals to undertake a critical evaluation of underlying theory, practice and research in health and social care; provide a forum to share knowledge and experience; debate methodological and contemporary issues and enhance practice within a collaborative on-line learning community; enable critique of the conceptual analysis and practical application of integrated health and social care and develop critically reflective leaders, practitioners, managers or researchers who can function at an advanced level of practice and provide leadership in the planning, development and critical evaluation of integrated health and social care.
Learning
The entire course is delivered via e-learning and students are never required to attend the university hence the course is open to people both across the UK and worldwide. As a graduate you can, of course, attend for the graduation ceremony (in full gowns) if desired. E-Learning means that you can study from home or work as long as you have the necessary equipment and a good broadband speed.
