Learning and assessment
The Advanced Pharmacy Practice programme from University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) is delivered through blended learning, using a variety of methods and online platforms supplemented with face-to-face delivery on our campus.
Where face-to-face sessions are scheduled, active learning strategies will be used wherever possible. Generally, each module will be supported by a minimum of a one-day face-to-face masterclass, with the exception of the research project module and the independent prescribing module.
Face-to-face sessions are an opportunity for you to discuss with the experts in each field how patient care is maximised through real life examples.
Your assessment methods will mainly be linked to working practice and how learning has been applied into everyday practice. The range of assessment methods includes: case studies, portfolio and observed structured clinical examinations.
