The Master AIRE - Life Sciences at The Center for Research and Interdisciplinarity (CRI)  is a 2-year program designed to train and empower a community of scientists who want to tackle the challenges of modern research through a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach.

Overview

At AIRE-LiSc, you will study Life Sciences through an innovative, interdisciplinary approach based on the convergence of Biology, Physics, Computer Sciences, and many other disciplines. 

You will be able to build your own unique course portfolio, and to gain substantial, meaningful research experience thanks to our internship-rich program. You will be trained by prominent researchers from different backgrounds, who experience innovative teaching methods. 

You will also work in an international environment that promotes teamwork and collaborations, and thus build long-lasting ties with researchers and fellow students from all over the world.

General requirements

First of all, candidates must complete an online admission application form, allowing them to put together an application file which will be evaluated by a jury specific to each course. If the application file is accepted, the candidate will have to pass an oral interview (face-to-face or remote).

For each course, students can apply for the first or second year of the Master, depending on the last university degree obtained and / or professional background 

  • Master 1  accessible to students holding a license or equivalent (180 ECTS, bac + 3).
  • Master 2  accessible to students graduating in the 1st year of a master or equivalent (240 ECTS, bac + 4).
  • Continuing education  : the program is open to the continuing education public (professionals, teachers, professional retraining, etc.)

It is advisable to contact the CRI or continuing education secretariat for more information on the methods of continuing education.

  • If you are non-EU students who do not come as part of an exchange you will receive a partial exemption from registration fees. You will therefore pay the same fees as French and European students:

Funding

EURIP Graduate School scholarships rewards exceptional academic merit and aims at providing financial support to talented EU/Overseas postgraduate students who wish to benefit from an interdisciplinary training from the Masters up to the completion of a PhD within FIRE Doctoral School, and are willing to explore the interfaces of Life, Learning, and Digital Sciences. 

The Liliane Bettencourt Excellence fellowships are awarded to interviewed candidates, based on their excellent curriculum, motivation, and coherence of their Master 2 plan. 

Please note that very few fellowship are available. The candidate is encouraged to seek for external sources of funding.
