
Overview
These units embrace a blended approach to teaching and learning, comprising in-class sessions, online activity and self-directed commitment.
In the third semester, you will pursue a research study leading to the writing up of a dissertation under the supervision of an academic supervisor.
Through the series of study-units and the dissertation, this programme aims at enhancing the professional role of the nurse as a clinician, an educator, a researcher and as an active player in the realms of academia, policy making, management and innovation.

The Nursing programme of the University of Malta enables you to master research, academic and professional skills which lend themselves well to various clinical and non-clinical posts and roles, primarily within the health and social care sectors.
Upon the successful completion of this programme, you will be eligible to apply for registration on a doctoral programme of studies at the University of Malta or a foreign institution abroad.

The Course shall be open to applicants in possession of:
- a Bachelor's degree obtained with at least Second Class Honours in an area of study deemed suitable by the Board or
- a degree from this or another university which the Board considers as comparable to the degree indicated in paragraph (a).
Applicants may be required to provide evidence of being in possession of the licence to practice in the register of the profession concerned, as kept by the relevant regulatory council.
