Overview of the Biology - Experimental Biology programme at the University of Hradec Králové
Students focused on Molecular & Experimental Biology are educated in nanotechnologies, GMOs, toxicology, proteomics, and many others.
Students participate in research. They are engaged in various projects in conjunction with neighbouring institutes (VUOS Pardubice, VUO Holovousy) and in other projects, very often international. Main research interests include botanical research of protected areas, physiology of plants, entomology, parasitology, zoology of chordates, cell and molecular biology, microbiology, agrochemistry, geomorphology, and geo-dendrology.
Career prospects
Graduates become experts who can work in public inspection institutions dealing with the environment and the protection of nature, research and service laboratories focused on biology, ecology or biomedicine, and cultural and educational institutions focused on ecological education and scientific activities.
