Overview
We are a member of the CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) network and work very closely with industry. We preserve this proximity by encouraging dialogue with industry and opportunities for our students to work on marketing problems faced by real companies.
Many of our research students focus on increasingly digitised behaviours. Even if a growing part of our students decides to develop their career in a job that is related to digital, our students are also prepared for careers as teachers and researchers, attuned to appraising the impact of technological evolutions.
A research degree at Abertay is excellent preparation for a career as a researcher and an academic, as well as a diverse range of professions outside of academia.
The research degrees in Internet Marketing programme at Abertay University
You have the option of studying an MSc by Research, an MPhil or a PhD.
When deciding which degree is right for you, you should consider the level of commitment required, the duration, cost and your career aspirations.
That being said, our research degrees are flexible. You can begin an MSc or an MPhil and then seek to transfer to a PhD without having to start your project all over again. You can also switch from full-time to part-time study, and vice versa.
