With this in mind, the program includes subjects that seek to develop an understanding of event creation, planning, delivery, marketing and evaluation processes and practices of various forms of events in both Australian and international contexts.
The Master of Event Management (Extension) at the University of Technology Sydney develops advanced skill sets needed for managers to operate in the events industry.
The course has a strong focus on professional practice, including two innovative capstone subjects – Industry Research Capstone or Internship Experience Capstone – which allow you to work either on or with contemporary industry issues and opportunities.
The additional elective subject choices in the Extension offers to provide an opportunity to specialise more deeply in event management and related fields and further enhance students' management skills, professional practice, specialist knowledge and capabilities.

- Applicants must have completed a UTS recognised bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted other evidence of general and professional qualifications that demonstrates potential to pursue graduate studies.
