  • This Advanced Practice Prescribing Pathway programme at University College Dublin provides education in various strands (e.g. primary care, musculoskeletal, sports and exercise rehabilitation) that will enhance the physiotherapists specialist knowledge in their chosen area.
  • The MSc in Advanced Physiotherapy Studies aims to broaden the Chartered Physiotherapists’ knowledge base in the areas relevant to the practice of physiotherapy mapping to their educational and career pathway needs. Graduates will have the opportunity to achieve excellence in professional practice as advanced clinicians, critical thinkers, and life-long learners. 


This course will equip the graduate with advanced knowledge and skills based in their chosen specialist field.

  • This is open to Chartered Registered Physiotherapists eligible for registration with the Irish Society for Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP) and Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU with a 2:1 degree classification.  No previous clinical experience is necessary except on a limited number of modules.
