Overview
The Dental Hygiene at the University College London (UCL) will serve to enhance your level of professional confidence and leadership skills through individual study, group project work, teamwork and organisational skills.
This in turn may equip you to consider alternate employment settings such as allied healthcare leadership or teaching posts.
Teaching and learning
The modules will primarily be delivered online with block teaching at UCL Eastman of practical skills, lab work, group seminars and discussions. Learning methods will be through flip teaching, exercises based on reading material, discussion sessions, and didactic lectures. Assessment takes place through clinical cases, written assessments, online quizzes, discussion forums and oral examination

This degree will enhance your knowledge and understanding of Dental Hygiene which can be applied in a clinical setting. The completion of the dissertation in year 3 will provide students with research and leadership skills equipping them to consider alternate employment pathways.

- All applicants must hold an approved dental hygiene qualification (diploma or bachelors) and be currently working as dental hygienist in practice with at least three years’ clinical experience post qualification.
