Educational Opportunity

Foreign Language Education students from Florida International University who are state-certified teachers may pursue the TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) track to earn an ESOL Endorsement along with our MS degree.

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  • GPA: 3.0 upper division coursework or 3.25 master's degree
  • International graduate student applicants whose native language is not English are required to submit a score for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
  • Two (2) letters of recommendation to support the applicant.
  • A statement of intent describing the applicant’s personal and professional goals in relation to (a) how the program will help the applicant reach these goals
  • A current resume/curriculum vitae that includes, at a minimum, educational history
