The programme

The MSc Global Accounting Online from The University of Law Business School is ideal for students with numerical backgrounds who have an interest in developing an in depth specialist knowledge and a critical understanding of the key aspects of global accounting, and in particular, who are looking to pursue, advance or switch to a career in global accounting. 

The master's programme is designed so that you can complete your course in a 12 month period. You will develop a broad comprehension of the most important concepts in global accounting with a strategic perspective in a global context. Furthermore you will gain valuable experience in research within your specialist field through the completion of a dissertation, also presentation, communication, team work and critical problem solving skills.

Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Required score: Lower Second Class

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to Lower Second Class on the UK Honour scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on the UK Honour scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

General Requirements

  • 2.2 or above from a UK Bachelors degree in a numerate area (e.g. Accounting, Finance or Business with Accounting or Finance) 
  • Students who have achieved fully exam qualified status from a professional accountancy body are also eligible. For example: ACCA/CIMA papers: Fully exam qualified (all 14 papers completed)
