Students receive a solid hands-on training during the Space Sciences and Technologies programme offered by the University of Bremen. Lectures in digital image processing as well as architecture and design of integrated digital systems provide advanced skills and methods in data processing. Methods of data transmission in communication networks complete the topics in the field of communications.
For specialization students choose one out of two subject-specific areas: Physics for Space Observation or Information Technologies for Space. In these areas students extend their knowledge to have a clear professional focus. In the laboratory practical course, with 8 laboratories out of the three topics, students get the possibility to gain and improve practical skills.
Graduates have excellent job opportunities in Space Agencies, Space Industry and Research Institutes. Typical careers are pursued in the fields of satellite based measurements, earth observation, message transmission or navigation.
