The  Networking and Telecommunications Engineering program at Macquarie University covers rapidly developing information communication technology networks, as well as software-defined networking for multi-layered, multi-band, multi-radio access technology; 4G and 5G mobile networks; software-defined networking for 5G networks, data centres and cloud networks; cognitive radios; network functions virtualisation; IoT network security and standards; and autonomous cars and smart cities where software-defined networking, 5G and the cloud are shaping the future.
