Overview
Through our teaching and research expertise we prepare graduates to redress the inequitable distribution of health and health resources, and to improve health globally.
The Global Health program from the University of Sydney is underpinned by the principles of equity, community participation, sustainability, the use of knowledge for action, and trans-disciplinary, evidenced-based, systems thinking.
The aim of the Master of Global Health program is to train graduates with the skills and knowledge to engage in activities which support and improve health and well-being throughout the life course and across the globe. We support students to act with cultural humility and engage in collaborative partnerships to effect sustainable solutions.
The graduates have skills in research methods, intervention implementation, systems reform, communication, advocacy, and governance. They can work in trans-disciplinary teams, and nurture genuine partnerships with communities to develop local solutions and reduce health inequities.
