M.Sc. Architecture from Warsaw University of Technology reflects architectural evolution from 20th century space design towards 21st century information processing design.


It anticipates the shift in paradigm in the nature of architectural practice and theory. It provides an interdisciplinary curriculum designed to reinforce student competence in answering crucial questions ushered in with the crisis of globalization.

Can local context present new opportunities for non–uniform global trends? Can new conditions of situated design and problem solving reveal the opportunities of previously marginalized societies while maintaining richness of diverse? Can we aspire towards vision of architecture derived from the diverse richness of the emerging society of knowledge?

The M.Sc. Architecture from Warsaw University of Technology aims to equip young practicing architects with the formative experience required for:

  • Active participation in the global architectural knowledge society, and critical interpretation of the creative aspects of design and design collaboration.
  • Collaborative and interdisciplinary practice of architecture.
  • Architectural research exploring new design technology and theory.


The growing share of information processes in the activities of today’s societies brings with it the need to take into account the scientific, design, and social consequences of this fact. The ASK graduate shall master the ability to interpret and create phenomena and objects in various scales using advances digital technology, specifically:

  • Skill in reading, interpreting, and assessing phenomena using digital techniques encompassing information acquisition, processing, and publication,
  •  The ability to apply digital techniques in practice in architectural and urban planning creativity (algorithmic, parametric, and interactive creation, optimization, and simulation),
  • Experience in quick prototyping, the fabrication of models and elements of buildings or cities, three–dimensional visualisation as well as presentations in a virtual environment,

General requirements

  • Students admitted to ASK program must hold degree equivalent to the Bachelor of Architecture and Urban Planning from Faculty of Architecture at Warsaw University of Technology.
  • Diplomas from all over the world in Architecture are accepted under condition that these diplomas entitle to enter Master program in the country where issued.
  • Candidates have to validate their diplomas by apostille or legalization.
  • Holders of degrees from post-secondary recognized architecture schools in EU countries with minimum program length of 3,5 years are eligible (candidates with program length of 3 years are asked to contact ASK office).
  • Along with formal prerequisites candidates have to find themselves capable of taking part in ASK advanced program. The goal for ASK students is to be creative and productive with will and determination to undertake analitical problems on the Masters level.
