Our graduate program has been in existence for decades and is recognized for quality and affordability. Our graduate program is highly rated and an outstanding value in Sport Management education.

Our online graduate program of study offers both internship and thesis options. Our 33 hour, year-round program of study provides flexibility for practicing professionals as well as full-time graduate students. Students can reasonably expect to graduate in just 3 or 4 semesters even those with undergraduate degrees not related to the field. The courses reflect common competencies critical for professional success at the next level. A mixture of required core courses and electives allow students an ability to customize their program to fit their professional needs/aspirations.

Students have numerous opportunities to build professional relationships with sport organizations.

This program is designed to prepare students for careers in areas associated with physical activity and sports. The student has a choice of area specialization from one of the following options: Sports Management, Exercise Science, or Pedagogy (Teaching Physical Education).

Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Required score: 2.75

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2.75 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

General Requirements

  • To be accepted into Sport Management, a student must have a major related to Business Management , Sport Management or appropriate background courses. 
  • For all Master of Science in Kinesiology degree programs a minimum undergraduate grade point average of 2.75 or a grade point average of 3.00 on 9 semester hours of earned graduate credit is required.

For graduate applicants who do not meet the 2.75 GPA requirement, additional items will be required:

  • Statement of Purpose - statement articulating why the prospective student wants to pursue and advanced degree in our program.
  • Reference - Names of references will be requested in order to contact these individuals regarding the potential graduate student’s ability to successfully complete the graduate degree.
GRE score is recommended for students not meeting GPA requirements.
