Overview
At University of Valencia we offer a master degree in Social Welfare Individual, Family and Group. Among these changes, we highlight, on the one hand, the implementation of labor flexibility strategies in a globalized economic context, which provoke processes of precariousness and vulnerability in certain groups, which frequently become subjects of social work intervention, thus showing their social fragility and to which a comprehensive response must be given, which includes enhancing their capacity for integration and access to the job market.
Key Features
- On the other hand, the important changes in the family structure have weakened its protective capacity in a fundamentally familiarist social welfare system like that of the Spanish state. The reduction in family size, the diversity of forms of coexistence, the incorporation of women into the labor market and the high rates of aging require new networks.
- This complexity entails the need to have professional profiles with a high degree of specialization that allows a theoretical and practical body to be managed at the same time, allowing to know and address problems generated by a society in continuous change.
