Overview
If you're ready to pursue your graduate degree in rehabilitation counseling, with The Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling at Northern Illinois University, you don’t have to wait. We accept applications and supplemental materials for the fall, spring and summer semesters.
After the deadline, the rehabilitation counseling admissions committee will select qualified applicants to participate in pre-admission interviews. Committee members will look for your ability to demonstrate:

- Aptitude for graduate-level study
- Potential success in forming effective counseling relationships
- Respect for cultural difference

- Completed a four-year undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited institution or one with equivalent recognition.
- Achieved a 2.75 grade point average on a 4.00 scale, or the equivalent.
- If you received a three-year degree awarded through the Bologna process in Europe or a three-year Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Business Administration awarded in India, you are eligible to apply (provided you are seeking admission to the MBA or OMIS program).
