Postgraduate Diploma in Science - Marine Sciences from University of Otago is open to students from a wide range of science backgrounds, including Zoology, Botany, Microbiology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Geology. Some training in Mathematics and Statistics is required. The normal minimum prerequisite for the Master of Science and Postgraduate Diploma courses is a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree or equivalent. Both Master of Science (MSc) and Postgraduate Diploma programmes take a multidisciplinary approach to the study of Marine Science.
