The Master of Science (Non-Thesis Option) in Animal & Biomedical Industries will prepare students for new and evolving career paths in Animal and Biomedical Industries through enhanced education in the Three Foundational Pillars: Animal-Human Interdependence, One Health, and Commerce. 

About

Courses will utilize a curriculum emanating from the Three Pillars that develops critical thinking and professional skills, and has clear performance expectations through the use of outcome based objectives. Scientific principles will be emphasized through the integration of biomedical sciences, and engage students in an active learning environment using a variety of effective teaching methods and educational resources that fosters collegiality, while promoting self-esteem, confidence, cultural awareness, and personal and professional ethics.

General Requirements

To qualify for this program, you must have at least completed an undergraduate degree or higher AND you must have completed the following courses:

  • English 101 + English 102
  • General Chemistry I + General Chemistry II (with labs) 
  • General Biology I + General Biology II (with labs). 
  • Additionally, you must meet the admissions requirements for the UA Grad College. The gpa requirements of this program are that you either must have 1) at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA or 2) a 3.0 or higher on your last 60 completed units. A recent GRE score taken within the last 5 calendar years is also needed.
