The Educational Leadership programme offered by Park University is designed to allow certification for principalship in the public or private school setting. There are two Missouri state assessments that need to be completed to be a certified building administrator.

How You Learn

Face-to-Face: The Educational Leadership programme offered by Park University is a hybrid cohort program. For five nights out of each 8 week course, class will be held from 5:00 to 10:00, the same night of the week for the entire program. These class meetings will be supplemented by additional online activities which may include assignments, materials, discussion threads, assessments and/or group activities completed electronically outside of class. You will finish one course every 8 weeks. Following this schedule, you will complete the program in approximately 2 years.

Online: This is an online cohort program. There are no weekly class meetings required; instead, you will log in to the online courseroom to complete assignments, participate in discussion topics, and other online activities designed by your professor. You will finish one 3 credit course every 8 weeks. Following this schedule, you will complete the program in approximately 2 years with built in breaks.

Careers

Upon completion of this program, students will have earned a M. Ed. Educational Leadership/Principalship degree and be eligible for certification as a principal in the state of Missouri.

    The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00. Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Required score: 2.75

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2.75 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

  • Completed online Park University application form.
  • Non-refundable application fee of $100 paid as part of application form.
  • Official or unofficial transcripts from your college/university from all institutions attended. A minimum 2.75 or higher cumulative (overall) GPA is required based on a 4.0 scale.
  • An Affidavit of Support  signed by you sponsor and supporting bank statement(s) in US Dollars showing the ability to finance one year of study.
  • Color copy of your passport, I-20 and visa and I-94.
  • Additional Requirements: Most graduate programs will require additional supporting documentation.
