Overview
This Sustainable Process program at University of Moratuwa focuses on the development of sustainable processes in terms of new processes and revamping or retrofitting existing sub-optimal processes. Simultaneous analysis of energy, environmental aspects, and process technology aspects will be considered as key areas.
Key Features
- The first year consists of lectures normally conducted on Saturdays and Sundays. Those who successfully complete the examinations, assignments, mini projects, and seminars will be eligible for the award of a Postgraduate Diploma.
- The MSc degree will require the completion of a research project during the second year after obtaining a minimum required pass mark in semester examinations.

General requirements
- The degree of the Bachelor of the Science of Engineering of the University of Moratuwa in a relevant field of specialization; the relevancy of the field to be judged by the Faculty and approved by the Senate of University of Moratuwa.
- Any other Engineering degree of at least four years duration, in a relevant field of specialization, from a recognized university; the recognition of the university, the acceptability of the course, and the relevancy of the field to be judged by the Faculty and approved by the Senate of University of Moratuwa.
- Any other Engineering degree of at least three years duration, from a recognized university; AND a minimum of one year of appropriate experience in a relevant field after obtaining such degree; the recognition of the university, the acceptability of the course, and the relevancy of the experience to be judged by the Faculty and approved by the Senate of University of Moratuwa.
