Our new two year Medical Research degree at University of Tasmania provides students with a grounding in theory with the first year comprising of coursework, with students in second year undertaking a research project. Both the Masters and Honours degree can provide entry into a higher research degree, such as a PhD, with sufficient GPA.

General Requirements

  • A minimum of a science-based Bachelor’s degree of the University of Tasmania or of another University or tertiary Institute that is deemed equivalent.
  • Where an undergraduate degree has been recently obtained, a minimum average grade of 60% (credit) in the final 2 years would be required. Applicants below a credit average will be considered based on a combination of academic record and relevant experience after graduation.
