The Master’s of Science in Care Management program is an interdisciplinary degree with an overarching goal to educate health care professionals to improve health outcomes, enhance care quality, and reduce health care costs.  


Graduates will provide care coordination to diverse people across the life span using care management principles and approaches that include facilitating delivery of health care to individuals/family, engagement of individuals/family in care plan design, and implementation resulting in high quality, high value, cost effective care using a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach.

Programme Structure

The MS Care Management curriculum is interdisciplinary in nature with collaboration from other divisions including Health Management and Informatics and Social Work. The curriculum is designed with flexibility to tailor to the student’s areas of interest and practice. Students gain knowledge of health informatics, research, policy, and quality and safety. Courses specific to Care Management explore the foundations of care management, interprofessional practice, evidence-based care management practice, and culminate with a role-focused practicum experience in the student’s care management setting of choice.

TOEFL admission requirements TOEFL® IBT The TOEFL iBT® is given online through the internet at designated testing site. The test measures your English-language abilities in an academic setting. The score refers to the total score of 4 subjects (writing, listening, speaking, and reading), each subject has a range of 0 - 30.
IELTS admission requirements IELTS The International English Language Test System (IELTS) tests your English-language proficiency on a scale of 1 – 9. The score refers to the combined average score of 4 subjects (writing, listening, speaking, and reading).

To be considered for admission to the Sinclair School of Nursing’s MS Care Management program, students must meet the following requirements:

  • Health related baccalaureate degree from an accredited university.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 for the last 60 credit hours of the baccalaureate program.
  • Evidence of any unencumbered current licensure in a health related occupation (if applicable).
  • Submission of a curriculum vitae or resume.
  • A one page personal statement describing academic and professional goals.
  • Personal interview upon request.
