The MA in Leadership and Advanced License Programs (Principal License, Special Education Director License, and Administrator/Superintendent License) have been carefully designed to ensure the development of educational leaders who can transform schools into learning communities in which all members of a diverse society are accorded opportunity and respect. 

About

The curriculum has been developed on a foundation of research in the areas of strategic leadership, instructional leadership, cultural and equity leadership, human resource leadership, managerial leadership, external development leadership, and student learning management. These programs satisfy accreditation requirements of the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) and the Colorado Department of Higher Education (CDHE).

As an active participant in these programs you will develop as a leader through an expanded self-knowledge and worldview. You will develop school management competencies and leadership strategies. You will learn how to guide an educational team as you integrate research based instructional and leadership practices to support the needs of a school community to create a plan for student success. You will explore the political and social implications of schooling and the educational requirements of contributing to a diverse, democratic, multicultural society. You will discover how technology can be utilized to enhance management and communication. You will acquire the confidence necessary to ignite and inspire others.

English Language Requirements

Academic Requirements

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

  • This programme accepts GRE® scores. However, it does not provide a recommended score range.

    The GRE® General Test is a widely administered admissions test that measures the skills needed in today's graduate and business school programs worldwide. The GRE® General Test contains three sections - Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. Three scores are reported: a Verbal Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, a Quantitative Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, and an Analytical Writing score on a 0 - 6 score scale in half-point increments.
