Run with the collaborative partner Diploma MSc, the Postgraduate Diploma in Respiratory Medicine allows you to apply knowledge for direct clinical benefit and future study in respiratory medicine. 

The Respiratory Medicine (Online Delivery) programme taught at University of South Wales is aimed at Doctors, GPs, Allied Health Professionals, Practice Nurses or those with equivalent professional qualifications and background experience. Once you have completed the PG Diploma you could progress to the MSc Respiratory Medicine.

Teaching

The Postgraduate Diploma in Respiratory Medicine is delivered through a 100% online learning environment however there is opportunity to attend a pre-course lecture series in either the UK (Glyntaff campus, University of South Wales) or South Africa (CDE Johannesberg).

Careers

Students are normally employed as healthcare professionals so work/ study placements would not be suitable.

Completion of the course will enhance private practice and will help career progression. The course gives you the direct opportunity to improve patient care.

You need the following GPA score:

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to on the UK Honour scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on the UK Honour scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

General Requirements

Health professionals, both UK and overseas, with an honours degree or equivalent (including international qualifications) are eligible to apply for the PGDip in Respiratory Medicine course online.
