Career Possibilities

A MSE in Civil and Environmental Engineering degree offered by the University of Nevada, Las Vegas , is usually not necessary for employment as a licensed professional civil engineer, but can assist with preparation for licensure in specialized areas such as construction, geotechnical, structural, transportation or water resources/environmental engineering. A Master’s degree is usually necessary for hire into advanced technical or management positions at public utilities, government, and engineering consulting, design, manufacturing or construction firms.
