About

The Culture and Conflict in a Global Europe programme from London School of Economics and Political Science explores the ways in which Europe's cultural identity and history informs its contemporary political and geopolitical condition.

Overview

By situating Europe's cultural formation within a global political context, you will study both the politics of culture and the culture of politics in Europe today, exploring how culture both structures political conflicts (both internal and external), and frames efforts at their resolution.

The Culture and Conflict in a Global Europe programme from London School of Economics and Political Science will enable students with backgrounds in the social sciences or the humanities to engage with Europe's historical and contemporary culture and politics in a multi- and inter-disciplinary way, using methods of investigation from political theory, philosophy, anthropology, international relations, political science, and media studies. You will be able to choose optional courses from across different disciplines, allowing you to tailor your studies to your interests and career goals.

Careers

The programme will provide you with a strong foundation for a variety of academic and non-academic careers, in the private or public sector at national, European, or global levels; foreign policy; journalism; education; working for activist organisations in the NGO sector; or working in specialised agencies concerned, for example, with migrants or minorities.
