Study programme focus

During the MSc study programme you will acquire extensive expertise on various energy technologies and energy systems with focus on sustainability.

Firstly, you will have courses covering general aspects of sustainable energy systems:

  • Energy economics, markets, and policies; 
  • Modelling and analysis of sustainable energy systems

Secondly, you will choose more technical, but still over-arching courses from a list including topics such as for example:

  • Energy conversion and storage
  • Energy and sustainability
  • Feasibility studies of energy projects
  • Power system balancing for wind power
  • Innovation in engineering
  • Environmental and resource economics

  • If you are a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, a Bachelor of Natural Science or a Bachelor of Engineering from another university and have qualifications equivalent to the relevant Bachelor of Science in Engineering programmes from DTU, you can apply for admission to the study line  BioEnergy of the MSc Eng programme in Sustainable Energy.
