About

The 2nd-cycle study programme in Mathematics leads to "magisterij" (master's degree). It is implemented by the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. Students upgrade their knowledge of mathematics by specializing in one of the following fields: General Mathematics, Computer Mathematics, or Financial Mathematics. 

Overview

The courses covered are in accordance with the current employment needs and the envisioned future needs of experts. The system of elective courses enables students to choose courses according to their interests. Graduates of this postgraduate level will be able to continue their studies at a higher level leading to the doctoral degree. 

The graduates of the postgraduate study are able to perform their work with the support of up-to-date communicational, informational, and computer systems in different fields like mathematics, economy, and informatics. So the new possible areas that can be covered by graduates of this programme lie in actuary, telecommunications, and economy.

Year 2: 3rd Semester

Funding

Full-time students from Slovenia and other EU countries, and full-time students from non-EU countries who are granted international protection, applicants for international protection and persons from countries with which Slovenia has concluded bilateral agreement (i.e. North Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo, B&H, and Serbia) pay NO TUITION FEE (except the part for studying in English, if applicable) if they have not already obtained an education corresponding to master's degree.
