As current members of the Association of Event Management Education (AEME) we follow industry trends closely, which is of increasing importance in the current climate. You will have the opportunity to examine actual business case studies, gain hands-on experience of managing real-life events and hear from industry speakers (subject to availability). You can further enhance your employability by undertaking a company internship* as part of your final semester Project module , which has seen past students work for various event venues and organisations such as Compass at the Ricoh Arena and Festival de Rocamadour in the Dordogne.
Open to graduates of the International Events Management degree at Coventry University from a range of disciplines, including but not limited to event management, business management, sport management or hospitality management, our postgraduate course in International Events Management offers a global perspective of managing events to help to prepare you for potential management roles in event planning, promotion, delivery and sales, upon successful completion. We also seek to ensure that upon successful completion you have the skills needed to manage change and respond flexibly to the issues currently facing the events industry.
Careers in event management are diverse and upon successful completion you could work as an event organiser, conference centre manager or event marketing executive. You can also choose to specialise in certain types of events, such as exhibitions and festivals or sporting and cultural events.
