As intelligent autonomous robots increasingly become part of our lives, the field of human-robot interaction seeks to understand and improve all aspects of interactions between humans and robots.

The Departments of Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering and Mechanical Engineering offer an M.S. degree in Human-Robot Interaction (HRI). Students in each department share a set of five required core courses, but other requirements vary.

    PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English Academic) is a language test that enables students to demonstrate their writing, listening, speaking, and reading skills when applying to study in English. Delivered and marked by computer, it reports on a scale between 10 and 90.

    The GRE® General Test is a widely administered admissions test that measures the skills needed in today's graduate and business school programs worldwide. The GRE® General Test contains three sections - Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. Three scores are reported: a Verbal Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, a Quantitative Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, and an Analytical Writing score on a 0 - 6 score scale in half-point increments.

  • Application Fee - The application fee of $75 is payable through the online application by credit card or e-check (drawn on a US bank).
  • Academic Records - Applicants will be required to upload a copy of transcripts received from each college or university attended where credit was earned toward an undergraduate, graduate or professional degree.
