Overview
The Business Analytics program of the University of Massachusetts Amherst is offered as a 1-year program on-campus in Amherst or Newton, or complete the program at your own pace through our flexible online learning platform. Both on-campus options have achieved classification as a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) program.

The On-Campus MSBA
The Isenberg School of Management at our flagship campus in Amherst provides you with an ideal collaborative environment anchored by our new Innovation Hub, an ultra-modern 70,000 square foot space including classrooms, labs, student-facing spaces, and faculty offices. You can also earn your MSBA just 10 miles from Boston at UMass Amherst’s Newton campus, adjacent to the Newton-Needham Innovation District, and the tech-focused Route 128 corridor.
The Online MSBA
As an Online MSBA student, you can work at your own pace, taking as few as three credits (one course) or up to four years to complete your degree, while receiving the same education, resources, and opportunities as your on-campus counterparts. Isenberg faculty build rigorous content that is easy to navigate. Our convenient online platform provides students the opportunity to interact real-time with instructors and each other during classes through message boards and review sessions.

General requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a recognized academic institution of acceptable standing is required for admission to the program
- For recent college graduates, an overall GPA of B (3.0 on a 4.0 scale) or better is recommended. A quantitative background in subjects such as calculus, statistics or probability is encouraged, but not required. Prior business education is not required to be admitted into the program. We practice a holistic review of all materials submitted in the admission process and take into consideration academic history, aptitude for graduate-level work, motivation, and work experience
