The Mechanical Engineering - Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin Madison is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out advanced technical work in areas such as heat transfer, mechanics, controls, biomechanics, manufacturing and more.

The accelerated mechanical engineering curriculum provides you with the course flexibility of a traditional master’s program, while offering a 12-month course-only path to a Master of Science degree.

When you enroll in our Accelerated Mechanical Engineering master’s program, you become a part of one of the top ranked mechanical engineering programs in the nation, home to more than 230 graduate students.     The GRE® General Test is a widely administered admissions test that measures the skills needed in today's graduate and business school programs worldwide. The GRE® General Test contains three sections - Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. Three scores are reported: a Verbal Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, a Quantitative Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, and an Analytical Writing score on a 0 - 6 score scale in half-point increments.
