Taking the basic mechanics problems of solid materials and structures in the areas mentioned above as the main research object with the newest research achievements in the technology and the fundamental theory of mechanics as the means, solid mechanics deals with characterization method, measurement technology, modeling and analysis of various mechanical quantities in modern engineering and technology. There are 3 doctoral supervisors, 6 master supervisors, 4 professors, and more than 10 associate professors working on this discipline. The discipline development and scientific research not only benefit from other related disciplines in the school of civil engineering, but also benefit from the research and experimental conditions of the key disciplines and key laboratories in other schools of Southeast University. This discipline collaborates closely with other disciplines of civil engineering, MEMS laboratory in school of electronic science and engineering, school of materials science and engineering, school of instrument science and engineering, school of communication and transportation, and school of medicine.
