Overview

The International Relations, Geopolitics and Global Governance specialization course in international politics and global governance at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC)   covers both the formal and most visible components of international politics, as well as the less evident aspects of global governance processes, with the involvement and interaction of a broad range of public and private actors.

The course is designed to provide specialized training and advanced analytical and conceptual tools to understand and analyse the complexity and dynamism of international society. It also aims to provide a solid foundation of knowledge on International Relations, from both a political and economic standpoint.

Goals

The goal of this program is to introduce participants to the complexities of world politics, making them aware of the multiple dimensions existing in the international arena and facilitating their understanding of economic and political decisions, taking the geopolitical context and policy processes involved into consideration.

TOEFL admission requirements TOEFL® IBT The TOEFL iBT® is given online through the internet at desiganated testing site. The test measures your English-language abilities in an academic setting. The score refers to the total score of 4 subjects (writing, listening, speaking, and reading), each subject has a range of 0 - 30.
PTE Academic admission requirements PTE Academic PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English Academic) is a language test that enables students to demonstrate their writing, listening, speaking, and reading skills when applying to study in English. The score refers to a total score which ranges between 10 and 90.

  • This is a specialization course designed for graduate students with Bachelor's Degrees in social sciences (Political Science, Sociology, Economics, Business and Administration, Social Sciences), other Bachelor's Degrees, and non-graduate students interested in international policy issues and concerned about the problems that the modern world faces. The level of the course subjects is equivalent to a Master's Degree, but non-graduate students will be accepted provided they have sufficient background knowledge to follow the program.
  • To gain entry to the programme, participants need to have an authenticated university qualification.
