Overview
During the Finance MSc programme offered by the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam you’ll look at the macro level of financial economics: how financial markets help maximise economic growth.
You’ll also look at the inner workings of financial markets and corporations – and how financial regulation is the bridge between these two sides.
The Finance specialization within the Master’s in Finance programme is focused on topics related to financial economics and financial markets. During the programme students can choose to focus their studies in the form of learning lines: Investments, corporate finance, institutional finance and real estate finance. In such learning lines real-world problems will be approached through the lens of financial markets and financial institutions.
Entering the job market
Graduates from the programme have gone on to work at one of the large consulting firms (Deloitte, Accenture, McKinsey, etc.), the big banks (ING, ABN AMRO, etc.), the Central Bank or large corporations. IT firms like Google are also interested in graduates from the Finance programme.

You need to have successfully completed courses and studied literature related to the core of this programme, consisting of (or equivalents of):

- Investments - Bodie, Kane, and Marcus: Investments, or equivalent
