Overview
Now more than ever, the world needs leaders to find creative solutions to current global challenges from an economic viewpoint. Just think about climate change, inequality, sustainability issues, financial and healthcare crises, etc.
If you want to become that policy expert and truly have an impact on the world, then the Master in Economic Policy will help you:
- gain a better understanding of the consequences of economic policies
- learn to evaluate different policy options using state-of-the-art economic theory and research methods.
Plus, you'll be receiving your education right in the heart of Europe, only 45 minutes away from the headquarters of NATO, the European Commission, etc.
The University of Antwerp offers two different modules in this course.
- The module ‘Macroeconomic Policy and Financial Markets’ has a strong focus on macro and international economics and (international) financial economics.
- The module ‘Public Policy focuses on the analysis of academic and relevant economic policy issues. This module focuses on aspects of efficiency in the study of significant economic and social problems (eg. inequality, health care, the labor market, unemployment…).
By offering these two modules, this course focuses on very specific topics.
