Global Health Care (International Health Care)

Overview

It provides a supportive but self-directed learning environment in which you will be encouraged to explore, question, discuss and debate policy, processes and practices with your lecturers and peers. You will demonstrate the practical application of key concepts through the critical analysis of health policies, recommendations for evidence-based reforms and development of program proposals relevant to their professional contexts.

The Global Health Care (International Health Care) program from Flinders University explores the principles of policy formation and implementation, sustainable health care systems and their impact on population health. You will examine contemporary, evidence-based international healthcare strategies with a focus on primary health care in resource poor environments.

Through engagement with topic activities designed to encourage diversity in learning, you will develop the knowledge, skills and capacity necessary to be an agent of change to influence policy development and implementation, promote sustainable development and achieve improved population health outcomes.
