Overview
Compared to the Master of Music, Chamber Music at Bard College requires fewer academic courses and is focused on your skills and interests. If you want to dig in deeper before launching your career, this program is perfect for you.
Learning outcomes
The Chamber Music department is led by the Horszowski Trio, Artists-In-Residence at Longy, for established, pre-formed ensembles. The program instills a strong foundation in chamber music skills for every student, including numerous performance opportunities and master classes with Longy faculty and visiting artists.
Longy also encourages ensembles to work towards concerts and competitions outside of school. Advanced students are awarded the chance to collaborate in side-by-side formation with the Horszowski Trio, in pedagogical study as well as in public performance in the greater Boston area and beyond.
