Overview
The Master of Theological Studies program offers two tracks: General or Focused. Within the Focused Track, students can specialize in Scripture and Its Interpretation or Christian Theology and Traditions.
At Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, our MTS degree is designed to be both academically rigorous and flexible by offering significant electives throughout the theology curriculum. Students in the MTS program can select the courses that will best benefit their theological research.

MTS graduates go on to work as college or seminary professors, pastors, religion teachers, journalists, and missionaries, among other careers for which graduate theological preparation is valuable. Grads also go on to complete a doctoral program.
